Archive – Another chance

Here’s another story from my archive – Another chance*Sitting at my study table, I tried to calm myself. But the more I tried, the more I got restless. Thoughts kept churning on my mind. I had never thought that one dreadful day, I'll kill my own brother. But never had I thought that my own brother would kill my father. How could he kill my father, the same man who had changed his life from a orphan to a well educated doctor. He had always been my idol. But all his love and care for me and dad was never genuine. He faked it ? Just for money? *That day when I rambled to the ICU, I was sure that my brother, who was handling my dad's case, will be the best doctor for my dad. I was assured. Until what I saw from the glass opening of the ICU door. He pulled out the oxygen mask from my fathers mouth and stood there watching him die. I tried to comprehend what was happening. I didn't knew it was an attempt of murder. Hastily, as I knocked the door, he opened the door. The mask wa…

Archive – The Strange Night

Nowadays I feel very bore to write, in fact, my brain creates a story up to a halve and then it just stops. I know that I am being very lazy but I dump it on the weather. But then I thought why not dig up and present some good posts/stories from the archives. So maybe till my brain springs up again, I’ll present some of my favourites. So here we go, A fantasy to start.*The strange nightIt was very dark and the thunders and the lightening was frightening the 10 year old. But now that he had already covered much distance, he couldn't go back. He had not expected the cloudbursts when he left the school. The then simple path now looked cruel. He would have never have made the mistake of leaving, but the rain betrayed him on his way.It takes one hour of walking but four hours had passed but he was still too far from home. The thunders nailed him many a times and the wind was in full action to shove him back as he stumbled ahead. With the road lights off due to rains, at times he found …

When it sets, it calls…

When I look for peace
I sit at the sea shore
And talk to the rushing waves
They slowly open my heart's door
I invite the myriad colours
Red purple yellow and the greens
For they bring tranquillity to me
And the talk with nature begins © MeghaP.S : When I posted this picture, it didn’t took more than 5 minutes for me to write this poem. I am not good at poems and I was really surprised with my response time in getting the words together. Seems I have a special bond with sea...I am sure there is. Is there anything that you get connected with, easily ?

Days, Months, Years…

The morning was foggy and cold, like her mood. Everyday she stroll the empty streets looking for him. It was one unfortunate day when she lost him here, never to be seen again. For years her friends had tried to comfort her, to convince her that she needs to move on. But as her untiring search fell into her routine and their words on deaf ears, they were waited for time to heal the wounds. She walked on the deserted streets, hands numb, her eyes grasped for every movement. Her brain tried to deviate from the hope while her heart followed her eyes which tried to identify any hazy silhouette as him, her son. He was 8 years when he was lost. He must be 14 now. Today is his birthday... She felt bereft. The words came out broken, saturated with loss, Happy Birthday, my son. * Written for Three Word Wednesday : Prompt words - deviate identify saturate

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 9; the ninth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton. They were total 150 freshers. It was the happiest day of their lifetime. They had their first offer letter in hand, the letter they have fantasized and doubted all their four years of engineering. Leaving home behind, they had migrated from their home town to Mumbai, the city of hope, city of dreams. The total conglomerate was divided in four batches for training. Two of the batches were sent to Pune. The training would last for six months where they would be groomed for Technical and Soft skills. As time passed, the lot transformed into smaller groups. Spending day at office was their only time they looked forward to where they could keep their mind busy. The evenings were mostly sombre when they had to do their daily chores that they regularly procrastinated in morni…

New template designer for Blogspot Bloggers

I would first like to wish my blogger friends a very happy fools day. Hopefully many of could have made your friend’s day by being a natural fool :)This post is meant specially for my BlogSpot friends who in spite of it’s “technical backward-ness” and lack of tools and functionality, chose BlogSpot over many other tools that comes loads of features. The prime area where BlogSpot scores over others is it’s simplicity. It’s a blogging tool for layman.Well, the good news is that Blogspot has introduced new feature called “Template Designer”. Now you can choose from various templates and customise them. For more information, check this -1. Blogger Template – Introduction2. Tweaking templatesSo for those who are looking for a make over, it’s a big news. P.S : I know it sounds ironic to say, but I tried a few new templates but nothing matched my taste & I’ll stick to my current layout. But people are different and so are their choices. So, enjoy!
